Gemma is a spirited member of our team, who brings her keen sense of humour with her to work each day. After graduating from the University of Edinburgh in 2007, Gemma spent a year travelling through Asia and Australia, before joining our team and settling down in New Plymouth. One of her favourite aspects of her job is witnessing the bond between pets and their families and helping it to grow stronger. She enjoys working with animals throughout their lifespan and is particularly thrilled when she sees a full-grown dog that she helped deliver in the middle of the night. Outside of work, Gemma loves snowboarding, stargazing and spending time with her family, which includes Tally the dog. She is still an avid traveller and after visiting nearly every continent, she will tell you that New Zealand is her favourite destination.
