Veterinarian position available July 2020

New Plymouth Districts Veterinary Group is a Best Practice accredited clinic currently employing 15 veterinarians situated in New Plymouth. We are a mixed practice based around a busy companion animal and dairy cow practice. There is a solid base of experienced staff helping to support younger team members.

A position is available in the companion animal team which will include time at our “sister” practice St Aubyn Veterinary Clinic, and we invite your application. St Aubyn’s is a two-person practice and if a smaller practice is more to your liking, we can tailor the position to this.

The role ideally is full time, but part time will be considered, and the successful candidate will assist with our busy companion practice where time is rostered between consultation and surgery. While there is an after-hours component full support from senior practice members is always available. This commitment currently equates to one night per week and one weekend in five.

Remuneration will be based on experience with there being an afterhours allowance and additional payment for this component. The practice also has health insurance and income protection insurance as added benefits.

At the heart of our business is a set of core values: excellence, empathy, integrity, innovation, and enjoyment. We offer a fantastic location, friendship, support, and an experienced team to help you integrate into our practice. The workload is busy and varied – as such expect to be challenged.
