Found a Duckling? What to Do Next
It’s not unusual to come across ducklings on their own during spring and summer. In most cases, their mother is nearby, and it’s best to leave them undisturbed. However, if you believe a duckling has been abandoned or is in immediate danger, temporary hand-rearing may be needed until it can be placed in safe care.
Hand-rearing ducklings can be challenging and requires careful attention to warmth, feeding, and housing. For detailed step-by-step guidance, we recommend reading the excellent Avian Empire Baby Duckling Hand-Rearing Guide.
