Born with a passion for animals, Kate spent time working in a cattery and kennels before realising that a career caring for animals was the right choice for her. After completing a certificate in Veterinary Nursing in Whanganui, she joined our team in 2009. Kate’s favourite aspect of her job is being able to nurse very sick or injured animals back to full health. She loves to be involved in the day-to-day aspects of their care and enjoys seeing them slowly progress each day until they reach full health. Last year she brought a motorbike so when she’s not working you will find her riding around the province or going on adventures with her newish dog ‘Tiny’ who she rescued. Kate has a rather large family – she has 8 siblings and many nieces and nephews, so family gatherings are always a blast.
